Tadweld Limited is a specialist engineering and fabrication business providing high-quality, high-specification steelwork solutions for leading global brands. The company works across the food and drink, pharmaceutical, distribution, and manufacturing sectors. Established in 1978 in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, Tadweld has grown into a nationwide provider of bespoke steel and sheet metal solutions.

Role Description

The Project Engineer – CAD / Inventor is responsible for designing and drawing a wide variety of structures, parts and assemblies in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. Coordinating the processes between order receipt and delivery to customer for assigned projects and providing general support to facilitate successful operations. Projects and products are varied, ranging from sheet metalwork assemblies, to access solutions, mezzanines and speciality fabrications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use CAD software to produce engineering models and drawings to enable fabrication of metal structures, parts, products and assemblies.
  • Collaborate and communicate with customers to ensure all project deliverables are achieved.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication teams during manufacture and installation, ensuring all requirements and specifications are understood.
  • Provide BoM’s and drawing files to supply chain department to enable successful operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and industry best practices in all drawings, including ISO9001 and CE requirements.
  • Share knowledge and best practices, making suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Significant experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor software’s.
  • Good knowledge of welding / metal fabrication / sheet metalwork.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree / A-Level in engineering related subject or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Autodesk Inventor iLogic automations.
  • Experience managing projects and communicating with customers.
