Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Key Member Of Our Technical Delivery Team, You’ll Support Maritime Team Leaders In Delivering High-quality Design Services To Clients Across The Ports And Maritime Sectors. You’ll Contribute To
Concept, preliminary, and detailed design of civil and maritime infrastructure Production of design drawings and technical reports Contract administration and site inspections Structural condition surveys and assessments
Reporting to the Director of Ports and Maritime, you’ll be part of a passionate team delivering innovative solutions across the UK and Ireland. This role offers excellent training, mentoring, and development opportunities through our early careers initiative.
Your Impact in this Position
You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the design and delivery of maritime projects, develop your technical capabilities, and build trusted relationships with engineers and clients. You’ll be confidently contributing to multidisciplinary design teams and helping shape infrastructure that supports sustainable coastal development.

Technical Competence
Strong understanding of civil/structural engineering principles Experience with Eurocodes and design software Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Office Health & Safety awareness A proactive and adaptable mindset
Problem Solving & Quality Assurance
Attention to detail and ability to analyse and solve technical challenges Ability to work independently and take direction from senior engineers
Team Collaboration & Communication
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Confidence in preparing clear and logical engineering reports
MANDATORY Training & Qualification Requirements
MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)

Progress toward Chartered status Experience in maritime or civil infrastructure projects Familiarity with BIM processes and 3D modelling tools
