Project Engineer - Civils

About Narro Associates

Narro Associates is an award-winning structural and civil engineering consultancy with a reputation for delivering innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer, or an ambitious engineer approaching Chartership, to take ownership of challenging projects, lead client relationships, and play a key role in the development of both our people and business.

The Role

Anticipated to have gained some experience post-graduation with a proven track record of efficiently delivering smaller projects. The Project Engineer leads small projects and contributes to design work on larger schemes, demonstrating increasing independence, technical depth, and project management capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform civil and structural calculations and design.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects and support senior engineers on major projects.
  • Provide unsupervised site attendance and lead project administration.
  • Mentor junior team members and maintain CPD progress.
  • Develop financial awareness and understanding of buildability.
  • Contribute to business development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
