Location: Darwen

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

H9 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business for a Project Engineer specialising in Controls & Instrumentation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected engineering team delivering a range of capital and continuous improvement projects within a busy manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery against scope, budget and programme while working closely with engineering, operations and external contractors.

  • Delivering engineering projects from design through to commissioning
  • Managing project plans, budgets and resource allocation
  • Supporting PLC, HMI, SCADA and instrumentation-related projects
  • Coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Producing technical documentation and project reports
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring project progress
  • Supporting procurement activities and equipment specification
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation plans
  • Providing technical support and mentoring within the engineering team

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Previous experience delivering engineering or capital projects within manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, SCADA and industrial control systems
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring safe delivery of projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence experience would be advantageous
