Project Engineer
We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of warehouse automation projects from contract award through installation, commissioning, and customer handover. Working under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager, you will assist with planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality and safety standards.
This role is ideal for an early‑career professional who enjoys bringing structure to complex technical projects and is keen to develop into a Project Manager.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be As Follows
Monitor project progress across all phases to ensure alignment with contractual scope, schedule, and milestones Support the Project Manager in delivering turnkey automation projects to customer satisfaction Track project schedules, actions, risks, and issues, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution Coordinate activities between customers, internal engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates Support stakeholder and customer communication, helping to maintain positive working relationships Assist in coordinating subcontractors and tracking deliverables Support planning activities and monitor progress against the project schedule Follow up on project plans to ensure milestones and commitments are achieved Provide support during site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases Track snag lists and support the timely closure of outstanding items Assist in ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards Support system testing and commissioning activities

Additional Supporting Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager during design and build phases, considering cost, scope, timeline, and safety Support change management processes, including documentation, approvals, and impact tracking Assist with budget tracking, cost validation, and coordination with the finance team Help resolve project issues and respond to stakeholder queries Support design reviews and approval processes Contribute to consistent project reporting, governance, and documentation standards Help coordinate multiple workstreams and track key deliverables Promote continuous improvement within the project team Develop understanding of the technical, commercial, and operational aspects of automation project delivery
Professional Experience
Some experience in project management, engineering, automation, manufacturing, or a related transferable field Exposure to project schedules, budgets, reporting, or coordination activities within a technical or corporate environment Ability to support the development and maintenance of project plans Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple activities in parallel Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and follow‑through

Academic Background (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management, or a related discipline
(e.g. Mechanical, Automation, Industrial, Electrical)
Technical Skills
Understanding of Project Management principles Awareness of QEH&S standards MS Office (Excel, Project) ERP systems (e.g. SAP) – desirable English (written and spoken)
