Reports to: Operations Manager Department: Project Delivery Team Contract Type: Permanent Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Remote, with occasional office meetings (Bury, Manchester) Salary: £45,000 - £65,000pa DOE + Car or car allowance

PURPOSE

To successfully manage all aspects of project delivery including the company’s SHEQ, financial and customer relationship expectations. Proactively assist and mentor other Project Engineers and offer support to the Operations Manager/Director. Monitor processes and liaise with the LPCB and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. To be a figurehead of good practice across the department demonstratively demonstrating both the corporate competencies and values.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE (including accountabilities)

  • To follow AFE processes and policies
  • To monitor and assist other members of the PDT to follow AFE processes and policies
  • To assist with training of Project Engineers in AFE Policies and processes
  • To collate feedback from sites to facilitate continuous improvement
  • To coordinate and work alongside Project Engineers to ensure finished product is the best quality it can be
  • To provide support to Project Engineers as necessary with suppliers, sub-contractors and clients
  • To manage outline plan of sub-contractors and their whereabouts, assist with planning of teams and distribution of work
  • To manage and run projects within budget to programme without compromising SHEQ and customer relations
  • To ensure quality is maintained across all projects
  • To maintain the LPCB contract log, competency records (both AFE and sub-contractor)
  • To liaise with LPCB and be main point of contact for LPS1048 Audits
  • To assist with site visits for selected LPC audits with relevant Project Engineer
  • To collate and respond to all LPS1048 audit reports, manage flow of information from Project Engineers
  • To ensure C2C meetings are fully prepared for, to assist with checking of C2C forms for other engineers
  • To work with Ops Manager/Director to introduce improvements where necessary
  • To maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
  • To carry out qualified checks on projects

Required Attributes

  • Project engineering experience of at least 10 years
  • Proven record of sub-contractor / supplier / customer management
  • Proven record of cost control
  • SMSTS Qualified with CSCS to match
  • IPAF for scissor and booms
  • Experience of Microsoft Office and Project
  • Strong work ethic, willing to put in extra time when required to fulfil the role
  • FHC, Basic, Intermediate and site inspection qualified
  • Good communication skills to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
