Working Hours: (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm with overtime opportunities available)

About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing Private Networks Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven individual with experience in HV & LV Electrical Distribution Networks who enjoys managing fast-paced maintenance, emergency response and minor works projects.
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering maintenance and minor works projects from initial planning through to successful completion. Working closely with clients, Project Managers, planners, site teams and subcontractors, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards.
No two days are the same. From coordinating planned maintenance and HV/LV upgrades to responding to emergency call-outs and supporting business development, you'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional customer service and engineering excellence.

What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver pre-planned maintenance activities across HV & LV Electrical Distribution Networks.
- Engineer and coordinate minor works including:
- ACB retrofits
- HV protection upgrades
- Switchgear refurbishments
- Transformer refurbishments
- HV cable fault rectification
- Other electrical distribution infrastructure projects
- Review and agree client outage requirements.
- Produce high-quality Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and complete job packs.
- Review engineering designs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
- Procure plant, materials, equipment and subcontract services to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate labour resources alongside the Planning Team.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure quality, safety and programme compliance.
- Provide technical support to Project Managers, planners and site engineers.
- Respond to emergency call-outs, working alongside the on-call team to minimise customer downtime.
- Communicate technical solutions, costs and project updates with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage approved subcontractors and monitor technical performance.
- Ensure all commissioning, maintenance and test documentation is completed and issued promptly.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing customers and support business growth through proactive customer engagement.
Health & Safety
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. You'll be expected to:
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all projects.
- Ensure compliance with company safety rules, procedures and industry legislation.
- Produce and review project-specific Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in accordance with statutory requirements.

About You
You'll be a motivated engineering professional with strong technical knowledge and excellent organisational skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Previous experience within the High Voltage industry with strong knowledge of HV & LV electrical distribution systems
- Experience with switchgear, transformers and electrical power assets
- Excellent understanding of current electrical installation practices
- Knowledge of current legislation, industry standards and technical best practice and experience producing RAMS, SSOW and project documentation with a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and risk management
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
