Project & Applications Engineer
Position Summary
The Project & Applications Engineer is responsible for developing designs, preparing technical and commercial bids, preparing design calculations, drawing approvals, technical specifications, and other associated documents to ensure proper system design and equipment selection. The role also involves providing engineering support to the EIS Sales Team and project management as required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide applications support to the sales team and prepare costed commercial proposals for approval by the Sales Manager
- Research and review project requirements and design information to ensure sufficiency and feasibility
- Assist with preparation of standard engineering documents, specifications, and calculations
- Coordinate with Sales Managers, Project Managers, and team members to establish functions and project deadlines
- Determine appropriate methods for creating technical drawings
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and topographical/geological data to support project design
- Complete the drawing process in line with the Scope of Work
- Assess commercial viability of materials, processes, and performance solutions to manage project budgets effectively
- Review supplier drawings and documentation
- Assist in the preparation of scopes and estimates for proposals
- Conduct R&D project work
- Troubleshoot client issues on/off site
- Perform other duties as required by executive management

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
- Relevant experience in process plants, air movement systems (ducts, fans, etc.)
- Preferred: AutoCAD proficiency
- Experience in Type testing or civil/mechanical engineering preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, professional team environment

- Design techniques for precision plans, drawings, and mechanical/technical models
- Engineering and technology applications for production and production processes
- Mechanical systems, including their design, maintenance, and functionality
- Mathematical principles, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and calculus

Travel Requirement
