About The Role

Join us and power The Great Grid Upgrade through world-class HVDC projects.

Strategic Infrastructure is delivering a portfolio of HVDC projects along the east coast of Great Britain, supporting the UK Government’s ambition to connect 50GW of offshore wind by 2030.

We’re looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate engineering activities across our Offshore Portfolio, working closely with other Project Engineers to manage complex interfaces between projects. You’ll apply your engineering expertise to support the development and delivery of major infrastructure, engaging with stakeholders, managing interfaces, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time while minimizing risk.

By enabling the transport of home-grown clean energy from offshore wind to where it’s needed most, this work will strengthen the security, resilience and stability of the UK’s transmission network.

The role offers hybrid working, with flexibility to travel across England and Scotland depending on project needs.

Project Level Key Interfaces Include

  • Converter Station to HVAC Cables.
  • Adjacent AC Substation connections including HVAC Cables / Overhead Line from Converter Station.
  • Associated Transmission Operator (TO) work packages, e.g. provision of telecommunications etc.
  • Interfaces with other neighbouring projects (identifying and tracking interdependencies and conflicts).

Key Accountabilities

  • Promote a strong emphasis on Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) compliance and ensuring the highest standards of SHEQ are maintained.
  • Coordinate engineering interfaces between work packages, internally (NG only or between joint venture partners) and externally with other neighbouring projects, in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Participate in the engineering development and delivery of projects.
  • Manage interface engineering activities as defined in the project programme, identifying any risks and issues, propose mitigating activities and escalate as required.
  • Manage and maintaining interface registers/schedules, tracking progress of each item and including on the project risk register as appropriate.
  • Support the development and delivery of a safe, cost effective and compliant design.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
