About Us
Nestlé Dalston is the home of NESCAFÉ and produces a range of Cappuccino, Aero and Coffee Mate products using highly automated manufacturing, filling and packing processes. As we continue to invest in our factory, people and technology, we're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Projects team and help deliver the next generation of site improvements and capital investment projects.
Working as part of a collaborative team of 12 Project professionals, you'll manage projects from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and operational handover. This is a varied role where you'll work closely with colleagues across Safety, Quality, Engineering, Production, while supporting the successful start-up of new assets, processes and infrastructure. Depending on project priorities, you could be involved in initiatives such as upgrading site water infrastructure, delivering energy-saving boiler improvements, enhancing inbound goods quality control facilities, increasing manufacturing capacity through new mixing systems, or leading major process upgrades to improve reliability and output. Every project offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on site performance, sustainability, safety and future growth.

Your Impact
As Project Engineer, you will lead and support the delivery of engineering projects that help shape the future of our Dalston site. You will manage projects through design, procurement, installation and commissioning while ensuring solutions are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Project Delivery: Manage capital investment projects from concept through to installation, commissioning and handover.
- Engineering & Technical Excellence: Deliver engineering solutions that improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Safety teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities meet relevant legislation, standards and site requirements. Support Zero accident goal through behavioural safety techniques.
- Start-Up & Operational Readiness: Support training, documentation and smooth project handover to operational teams.
Your Ingredients for Success
You will bring experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment, alongside stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience managing capital investment projects is essential.
- Qualifications & Technical Knowledge: Engineering degree or recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Project & Financial Management: Experience managing CapEx projects, budgets and procurement activities.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR and contractor management.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Ability to influence, collaborate and build trusted relationships.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and adaptability.
