Are you an organised and proactive Project Engineer looking to develop your career within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment?

Perhaps you're a recent engineering graduate with some industry experience, or an existing Project Engineer looking for a varied role that combines project management, technical coordination, and customer interaction.

We're supporting a leading engineering business in New Milton who are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join their Technical team.

What’s the role all about?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where you'll play a key role in coordinating engineering projects from enquiry through to delivery.

Working closely with Technical, Production Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams, you'll help ensure major customer projects and new product introductions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working across multiple departments, managing project schedules, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage project activities for major customer orders and new product introductions
  • Maintain project schedules and track progress against agreed milestones
  • Prepare and manage project documentation in line with customer and ISO requirements
  • Monitor project status and provide updates to stakeholders, customers, and senior management
  • Support quotation and bid preparation for new enquiries and projects
  • Coordinate drawing updates and engineering change activities
  • Organise and document project review meetings, including design, contract, and production readiness reviews
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure critical documentation is stored correctly
  • Monitor project costs and support budget control activities
  • Assist cross-functional teams with customer documentation, quality plans, and inspection plans
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to project delivery and business processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
