At M Group Telecom, we're enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech-enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
Private networks
- We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

As a PE specialising in RAMS, you will support the technical and safety delivery of National Grid services, focusing on OpTel and Tertiary sites.
A key responsibility is preparing RAMS (health and safety documentation), managing requests, and collaborating with M Group teams, including Programmes & Projects, Design, Account Management, and SHEQ, to ensure work is delivered safely.
What will you be doing?
Safety
- Identify potential issues related to deployment of works, ensuring risks are considered early in planning
- Conduct high-level peer reviews of PDDs, SIPs and WIs from Project Delivery and TDA/SDA to agree safe methodologies for Field Engineers
- Create and distribute OpTel GEN3 site-specific CPPs, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Create and issue RAMS for all relevant activities, defining risks and control measures clearly
- Collaborate with internal and external SHEQ teams to mitigate risks and maintain safety across all phases

Delivery (Existing & New Sites)
- Provide engineering support for changes across OpTel and Tertiary sites, assist TDA/SDA with Proof of Concepts, define consumables, support deployment issues, complete surveys, create installation documents, monitor progress, conduct site visits, and produce As-Built records
Leadership
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, identify improvements, lead meetings when required, support Project Managers, and ensure all work aligns with company quality procedures
What you'll bring?
Essential:
- Good all-round technical transmission knowledge, able to interpret TDA/SDA design documentation into safe work activities and mitigate risks in field engineering
- Strong planning, prioritisation, time management and project coordination skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects/changes to deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and operating procedures, with clear verbal and written communication, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical staff
- Minimum five years telecoms/utilities engineering experience, including technical workstreams and production of RAMS
- Must meet SC clearance criteria following BPSS screening
Desirable:
- Customer-facing experience, equipment and cabling installation, and knowledge of telephony, legacy telecoms, and IP LAN/WAN
