Role Overview
As a Project Engineer at Huntsman, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engineering projects and supporting strategic investments at our Duxford site. Working closely with the Engineering & Maintenance team, you will ensure compliance with process safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Huntsman’s corporate CAPEX program. This is a dynamic position where you will contribute to continuous improvement, reliability, and innovation across site operations.

Role Responsibilities
Act as the responsible Project Engineer for the site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining engineering standards. Deliver site engineering systems that support EHS compliance. Contribute to strategic investment planning and provide project support for CAPEX and small projects within budget. Collaborate on preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Plan and cost site-managed projects, ensuring timely submission of documentation for approvals. Maintain site drawings and technical information, and provide updates on analytics and automation tools. Support projects to ensure delivery on time, in full, and aligned with corporate engineering requirements. Drive EHS improvements and contribute to Huntsman’s Zero Harm objectives.

Experience And Competencies
Degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical). Experience in the chemical sector (pharma or biochemical or manufacturing considered). Strong background in engineering functions and project support. Knowledge of regulatory and statutory engineering requirements. Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Projects), AutoCAD, and data intelligence solutions. Knowledge of SAP is nice to have Familiarity with LEAN tools (VSM, SMED, Kaizen) and continuous improvement.
