Seals Project Engineer

Gaydon, Warwickshire | Hybrid

Some engineering roles focus on individual components. This one is about making sure everything works together.

As a Seals Project Engineer, you'll play a central role in the development of our next generation of vehicles, leading the design, delivery and performance of sealing systems from concept through to production. Working at the heart of Body Engineering, you'll be responsible for ensuring your commodities achieve demanding targets for quality, cost, timing and functional performance whilst collaborating with designers, suppliers, manufacturing teams and programme stakeholders across the business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership. You'll lead engineering releases, drive commodity strategies, manage critical interfaces, and take responsibility for ensuring sealing systems meet performance requirements through both simulation and physical validation. From supporting early concept development through to resolving complex build and launch concerns, you'll be a key technical voice throughout the vehicle development cycle.

  • Coordinate suppliers and internal teams
  • Lead design and assembly reviews
  • Manage failure prevention activities including DFMEA and lessons learnt processes
  • Ensure robust engineering solutions are delivered on time
  • Support manufacturing feasibility
  • Drive root cause investigations
  • Develop engineering specifications
  • Provide technical direction across both internal and external CAD resources

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
