Location: Scotland | Contract Type: 6-month | Starting: Immediate

We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of critical telecoms infrastructure projects across Scotland. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with field and operations teams to lead technical execution, ensure high-quality documentation, and manage commissioning for a major utilities network.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver telecoms infrastructure projects from concept through to completion
- Install, configure and troubleshoot network equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Produce technical documentation, including installation guides, system specs, and troubleshooting manuals
- Conduct site surveys to assess network requirements and problems
- Support customer meetings (stakeholders, clients, internal teams) for alignment and feedback
- Develop RSI, RAMS, and other project documentation to meet regulatory standards
- Coordinate network commissioning and implementation, ensuring smooth transitions
- Troubleshoot network issues (LAN/WLAN, MPLS, WAN) to minimise downtime

Experience & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Certifications:
- Nokia SAR-H
- Nokia NFM-P
- XTran
- Technical Competencies:
- CCNA-level networking (intermediate routing/switching knowledge)
- MPLS & WAN/LAN experience
- Ability to interpret and configure telecom networking equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio for diagram creation and documentation

Business & Operational Needs
- Full UK driving licence (essential for site visits)
- Will embrace UK-wide travel (with preference for Scotland, albeit nationwide support may be required)
- Glasgow-based collaborator, typically working 2-3 days per week from the office
- Immediate availability to start contract
