Your Role:
As a Project Engineer, you will lead a diverse portfolio of engineering capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with site and regulatory standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering projects valued between £50K and £2M from initial concept through completion, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop project scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules, and technical solutions in collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Maintenance.
- Manage project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and engineering partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement activities, project budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditure.
- Support commissioning, qualification, validation, and successful handover of new equipment and facilities to operations.
- Identify and manage project risks while ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical engineering support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Degree qualified in Engineering.
- At least 7 years' experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors.
- Experience working on capital, process, refurbishment, utilities, or chemical engineering projects.
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, biotechnology, or FMCG.
- Experience managing capital projects from concept through completion.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge:
- Management of C&Q activities in accordance with cGMP,
- APM or PMI or similar qualification,
- Understanding of project lifecycle and framework governance.
- Knowledge of GMP or COMAH regulations (COMAH experience is beneficial but can be learned).
