Job Title: Project Engineering Lead
Location: Luton (4 days a week on-site)
Contract length: 12 months
Rate: £500 – £550 per day
The Role
This role sits within an Integrated Project Team, where you will take ownership of engineering delivery across complex systems, ensuring outputs meet customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements while balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Own and structure engineering work packages (WBS)
- Plan, schedule, and deliver engineering activities across the lifecycle
- Drive delivery across design, development, integration, and validation
- Manage stakeholders, suppliers, and internal engineering functions
- Implement and track KPIs to measure engineering performance

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Engineering Work Package Manager or Project Engineering Lead/Manager
- Strong background in aerospace, defence, or complex engineering systems
- Demonstrated ownership of engineering delivery (cost, schedule, performance)
- Experience with WBS, planning, and structured delivery frameworks
- Solid understanding of the full engineering lifecycle and system integration
