Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Branch 13: Bristol, VA - Bristol, VA 24210Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: DayPosition Summary The Project Estimator’s primary responsibility is to review and interpret engineer plans and specifications for the purpose of compiling a list of materials required to construct a water line, sewer line, or site development project. This position will be required to complete engineering submittal documentation on awarded projects for the aforementioned project types. This position will be required to be able to price the compiled material proposal and may also fill inside sales role responsibilities from time to time as it relates to contractor bid projects. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Reviews and interprets construction plans and specifications prepared by an engineer or architect and complies a list of materials required to build a water, sanitary sewer or site development project 2. Prepares complied materials list into a quote format that can easily be followed by the bidding general or sub-contractor in preparation of bid submission 3. Prepares product submittal packages for awarded bid projects 4. Applies searches on construction data service websites to search for projects 5. Maintains project bid spreadsheet that contains past and up-coming bid projects, as well as project statuses 6. When the need arises, a project estimator may need to help fill inside sales responsibilities which include: 1. Uses general knowledge of CITCO core products to service our customers. Knowledge bases includes: 2. Enters orders and order statuses by using basic knowledge of CITCO core products. 3. Collects and enters proper PO, ship to address, customer contact name and phone number, and any special delivery instructions. 4. Communicates sales leads to outside sales staff, as well as commits any leads to CITCO CRM software 5. Researches and updates customer contact information, sales history, customer product pricing, vendor product pricing, and share market pricing knowledge with coworkers. 6. General pipe, valves, and fittings knowledge, e.g. Pipe types and O.D., Waterworks Brass, pipe fittings, fire hydrants, basic valves 7. General service offerings and ability to interpret and quote from standardized price lists, e.g. Wet Taps, Valve Inserts, Line Stops, Meter Testing, meter calibrations 8. General knowledge of residential meter setting materials, including basic meters and PRVs, e.g. Saddles, Corps, Setters, Meter Boxes, Covers, SRII, Accustream, iPerl. Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor’s degree in business management, sales or related field OR 2-3 years experience. 2. Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office programs. Basic understanding of how to use office equipment, e.g. Print, copy, fax, scan 3. General knowledge of CITCO core products as listed in essential functions Preferred Education and Experience 1. Industry related internship or experience
