Project Finance Facility & Security Agent Specialist

We are seeking a Loan Agency / Agency Services professional with experience reviewing & negotiating documentation from a Facility Agent & Security Agent perspective. Candidates should have experience working with borrowers, lenders & legal counsel on transaction execution, amendments, waivers, consents & ongoing management of project finance and infrastructure financings.

Client Details

Our client is a leading global financial services organisation with a well-established presence in the project finance, infrastructure and capital markets sectors. Acting as Agent and Trustee on complex financing transactions, they support a broad range of borrowers, lenders, sponsors and investors across renewable energy, infrastructure and private capital markets.

Due to continued growth and an increasing transaction pipeline, they are looking to hire a Project Finance Facility & Security Agent Specialist to join a high-performing and collaborative team in London. This is a genuine growth hire, offering exposure to both new deal execution and an established portfolio of high-profile transactions.

Description

Project Finance Facility & Security Agent Specialist

This job is a highly specialised Loan Agency and Transaction Management role where the focus is on executing, administering and managing Project Finance transactions throughout their lifecycle.

Working within a small and experienced team, you will be responsible for managing both new and existing transactions across sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure and other alternative asset classes. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent on transaction execution and closing activities, with the remaining 50% focused on portfolio management and ongoing deal administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Project Finance and Loan Agency transactions from execution through to maturity
  • Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation alongside external counsel and transaction parties
  • Coordinating lenders, borrowers, sponsors, investors and other stakeholders throughout the deal process
  • Supporting transaction closings, amendments, waivers and restructurings
  • Administering loans, payments, notices and reporting requirements
  • Acting as a key point of contact for client and stakeholder queries
  • Managing long-term relationships associated with live transactions
  • Ensuring transactions operate in accordance with documentation, regulatory requirements and internal controls
  • Working closely with legal teams, financial advisers and banking counterparties
  • Supporting a growing portfolio of Project Finance and Infrastructure transactions

This role offers genuine client exposure and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, including CFO-level contacts, whilst remaining firmly focused on transaction management rather than business origination.

We are seeking an experienced Loan Agency / Agency Services professional with direct experience reviewing and negotiating documentation from a Facility Agent and Security Agent perspective. This is not a traditional loan administration position and candidates should have experience working closely with borrowers, lenders and legal counsel on transaction execution, amendments, waivers, consents and ongoing management of project finance and infrastructure financings.

Essential Experience

  • Facility Agent experience.
  • Security Agent and/or Security Trustee experience.
  • Reviewing and negotiating financing documentation.
  • Amendments, waivers and consent processes.
  • Intercreditor and security documentation.
  • Liaising directly with lenders, borrowers and external legal counsel.
  • Project Finance, Infrastructure or Structured Finance transactions.
