Blair West is supporting Northern Endurance Partnership to find a Project Investment Analyst

This role sits within the Finance and Commercial team and will play a pivotal role in supporting investment decisions across nationally significant Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) infrastructure projects. As part of a small, highly visible team, the successful candidate will provide commercial insight and economic analysis that helps shape major investment decisions and supports the UK's transition to Net Zero.

The opportunity:

  • Develop and maintain complex economic and investment appraisal models to support major CCS infrastructure projects.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities using discounted cash flow techniques, including NPV, IRR, and scenario analysis.
  • Support Final Investment Decision (FID) processes through commercial evaluation, risk assessment, and sensitivity modelling.
  • Analyse key cost drivers and commercial assumptions to identify risks and opportunities across large-scale capital projects.
  • Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reporting, ensuring commercial and financial information is accurate and auditable.
  • Produce commercial performance reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Present commercial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
  • Provide analytical support for investment papers, business cases, and strategic planning activities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for commercial and financial analysis across the wider business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
