Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security sector is looking for a Project Leader
Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security sector is looking for a Project Leader to support the delivery of infrastructure-focused projects for one of our key secure accounts.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a good grounding in project management who wants to build their experience, take ownership of smaller projects and work alongside experienced Project Managers across a varied portfolio.
The role will involve supporting the delivery of IT infrastructure, network, storage and security-related projects, helping to manage plans, costs, risks, stakeholders and project controls within a structured, Prince2-led environment.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be commutable to the site in Salisbury.
What you will be doing:
- Support the delivery of multiple small projects or work packages, working closely with experienced Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, actions and progress against agreed timelines.
- Maintain project controls across time, cost, scope and quality, escalating issues or changes through the Project Manager when required.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers, providing clear updates on project status and key developments.
- Support cost management, resource allocation and supplier performance reporting, ensuring project activity remains aligned to agreed requirements.
- Contribute to project reviews, audits, service acceptance activity and lessons learned, using insight to improve future delivery.

What you will bring:
- A basic working knowledge of project management methods, tools and controls, with awareness of Prince2 or APM principles.
- Experience supporting or coordinating projects, work packages or structured delivery activity within a business or technical environment.
- An awareness of IT infrastructure, networks, storage, infrastructure security or wider technology delivery.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track detail and keep activity moving.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders, clients, suppliers and delivery teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, cost control, supplier performance and contractual requirements.

Level of Clearance: Must be eligible for Security Clearance
Referral Bonus: £1,500
