Tetra Tech is a leading, global provider of consulting and engineering services. Our dynamic Geoenvironmental team provides land quality, hydrogeology, hydrology, geothermal and site investigation consultancy for private and public sector clients across the UK and Ireland. Join us as an Assistant Project Manager to support the project management of technically complex and nationally significant projects across the UK.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
Reporting to our Operations Director, from day one you will get stuck into a variety of projects. We will expect you to support our Project Managers and technical staff in financial, administrative and programme management of projects of all scales.
Typical Duties Would Include
- Tracking bids and new opportunities
- Project setups
- Internal project governance
- Budget, time and resource management
- Monitoring change and financial risk
- Invoicing
- Project finance reviews
In addition, you will support business development and strategic growth activities as required.
Your Impact in this Position
You will play a key role in supporting our technical team to manage the project lifecycle and delivery of a wide range of projects across the UK and Ireland.

You will be highly organised, proactive and self-motivated, striving to achieve compliance and project management excellence. You will be a team player, working well with people in all areas of the business, and have a collaborative approach to work.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
You should have:
- Great communication skills
- Effective team working abilities
- A proactive approach to new skills and learning
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
- Understanding of the financial principles of managing projects
- Suitability for security clearance

You will be based in one of our London, Leeds, Bristol, Belfast, Cardiff or Manchester offices and, with flexible working, will also have the option to work from home.
