Fly Phoenix is a British and Zimbabwean registered airline venture focused on reconnecting Zimbabwe with key global markets through modern, safe, and customer-centered air services. The airline is committed to wider economic development by supporting employment, skills growth, and enhanced global engagement for Zimbabwe. From launch, Fly Phoenix plans to establish an independent charity foundation funded by post-tax distributable profit to help uplift local businesses, communities, and future generations.

Role Description

The Project Management Intern role is a hybrid opportunity based in Greater London, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home arrangements. The intern will support project managers in planning, tracking, and coordinating initiatives across commercial aviation, passenger services, and internal operations. This role offers practical experience in a pre-launch growing airline venture, exposure to aviation and tourism projects, and opportunities to learn structured project and program management methods.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, monitor project performance, and support informed decision-making.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, meeting notes, and stakeholder updates.
  • Foundational Project Management and Project Planning skills to assist with schedules, milestones, risk logs, and resource coordination.
  • Basic Program Management understanding to support interconnected projects and track progress against broader strategic goals.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Aviation, Economics, or a related field.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, project management platforms) and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Interest in airlines, aviation, African market connectivity, and social impact initiatives; prior internship or project experience is beneficial but not required.
