At Albany Beck, you’ll be choosing to work with an organisation that’s passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional and personal development.

Role Overview Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Senior PMO to support a strategic cloud transformation programme within a leading London Market Insurance organisation. This role will be responsible for overseeing programme governance, planning, reporting, controls, and delivery assurance across an enterprise-wide migration from on-premise data centre environments to Microsoft Azure.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience supporting large-scale cloud migration initiatives and will play a key role in ensuring the end-to-end migration journey is effectively governed, coordinated, and delivered. This includes managing programme controls from data centre exit through to cloud adoption, ensuring alignment across technology, infrastructure, security, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Experience within the London Market Insurance sector would be highly advantageous. Candidates with broader Insurance industry experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities • Establish and manage PMO governance frameworks across a large-scale cloud migration programme. • Drive programme planning, delivery tracking, milestone management, and executive reporting. • Support end-to-end delivery of the migration journey from on-premise data centres to Microsoft Azure. • Maintain programme roadmaps, RAID logs, dependencies, actions, and decision registers. • Coordinate multiple workstreams including infrastructure, applications, networking, security, testing, and operational readiness. • Produce and present governance materials for steering committees, programme boards, and executive stakeholders. • Monitor programme health, identify delivery risks, and ensure mitigation plans are implemented. • Track budget, resource allocation, forecasting, and programme financials. • Ensure programme controls and reporting standards are maintained throughout delivery. • Support cutover planning, transition activities, and business readiness initiatives. • Manage stakeholder communications across technology, operations, architecture, security, and business teams. • Work closely with third-party vendors, implementation partners, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and successful execution. • Drive consistency of delivery methodologies, governance processes, and programme reporting standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
