A Snapshot of Your Day

The long-term contracts (15 to 20 years) you are managing on Siemens Energy’s behalf will consist of regular client management, outage planning, delivery and close out throughout the lifetime of the contract. A reasonable amount of travel will be expected to visit site and the SE outage teams during outage periods. Out of outage the role will be predominately based in our Newcastle office.

In this role you will be expected to ensure the long term projects are managed efficiently with a heavy focus on Time, Cost, Quality and Safety. Be involved in and occasionally lead technical discussions on the covered equipment within the contract scope.

If you are a proven project manager with a passion for mechanical and/or electrical engineering, then this role is for you.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Manage full project delivery across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, resources, and commercial performance.
  • Define tender/contract scope and ensure contract-specific quality assurance requirements are met.
  • Oversee procurement of parts, materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Lead, coordinate, and motivate cross-functional project teams to deliver all project commitments.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, maintain strong customer relationships, and promote a responsible HSE culture.

What You Bring

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or commercial field, plus a recognised PM qualification (IPMA C, APMP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in power generation and engineering environments involving hardware supply or service contracts, including subcontractor management.
  • Familiarity with large rotating equipment (gas turbines, steam turbines, generators up to 600MW) is advantageous.
  • Strong self-motivation, flexibility, and collaborative teamwork skills.
  • Solid industry knowledge combined with practical, hands-on project and technical exposure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
