Salary: From £50,960
Grade: F
Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire
Hours: 37 hours per week (half-day Friday)
Type: Full-time
Travel Required: Occasional
Work Location: Site-based (100%)
Security Checks: BPSS, Disclosure Scotland, pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing)

Prestwick Aerosystems continues Ayrshire's longstanding aircraft manufacturing heritage. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture major wing structures used on Airbus programmes worldwide. As our business continues to evolve, effective project delivery plays a critical role in supporting operational improvement, customer requirements, and strategic change.
We're looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex projects that shape the future of our business. This is a high-impact role where you will manage a portfolio of major change initiatives, working across multiple functions to ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with business objectives.
You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels, balancing competing priorities while maintaining focus on cost, schedule, and performance. Working alongside operational leaders, programme teams, customers, and subject matter experts, you will provide the structure, control, and leadership needed to deliver successful outcomes across a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.
How you will contribute to the team
- Lead the planning and delivery of major change projects, ensuring scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and controlled.
- Develop and maintain project plans, governance, reporting, and business documentation in line with organizational and customer requirements.
- Manage project risks, opportunities, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation plans to support successful project delivery.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Requirements for the role
- Experience delivering complex projects within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or other operational environment.
- Experience applying recognized project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior leaders.
- A recognized project management qualification, such as APMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent, or a commitment to achieving professional project management accreditation.
