Purpose of the Role
We are investing in the growth of our project management capability, it’s an exciting time to join the team as we strive to successfully support our people in delivering critical projects as part of the McLaren Racing portfolio.
In this role, you will work as a Project Manager as part of the PMO team, supporting the successful delivery of a major ERP transformation programme across McLaren Racing. The role will focus on the implementation of core finance and business systems, spanning multiple workstreams including Finance, Data, Integrations, and Applications. You will be responsible for driving project delivery in line with PMO methodologies, ensuring governance standards are adhered to, and coordinating activity across a wide range of stakeholders. You will support end-to-end execution, including planning, delivery tracking, risk and issue management, and status reporting. The role will require close collaboration with Finance, Technology, and external partners to ensure successful design, build, testing, and go-live of the ERP solution.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage projects from ideation to closure, ensuring milestones are met on target by closely monitoring progress and ensuring quality standards.
- Tracking of project financial performance against budget and timing to schedule, reporting any variances to the Senior Manager of PMO.
- Assist in conducting project scoping and feasibility. Contribute to the development of project proposals and business cases, in collaboration with Finance.
- Manage and escalate any project risks/issues to the Senior Manager of PMO as required.
- Proactively nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Assist in managing communication with internal and external stakeholders and supporting resolution of any concerns.
- Support the implementation of PMO process improvements and changes, ensuring clear communication, updates, and addressing stakeholder queries.
- Support the Senior Manager of PMO in the development and roll out of new Programme/Project governance frameworks, with a focus on the Finance department.
- Work closely with the Project Associates across all projects, using time effectively to ensure all requirements are covered for all projects involved in.
- Lead by example, and act in a guiding capacity to the Project Associates in the team, supporting the Senior Manager across both Commercial and Business Performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3+ years Project Management experience.
- APM PPQ or PMQ/ equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in Project management tools.
- Experience delivering ERP implementations.
- Experience working with System Integrators/external partners.
- Experience delivering complex projects end-to-end, from design through to go-live.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the business.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
