At Animal Friends, we believe in working hard, having fun, and always striving for the best for our people, our customers, and their pets. We’re looking for a driven and highly collaborative Project Manager to join us on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. If you have the grit to make the impossible possible and want to lead initiatives that genuinely matter, this is the role for you.

The Role: Make a Real Impact

As our Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of key Strategic IT and Business Change projects. You will act as the crucial link between our technical capabilities and business objectives, seamlessly translating complex technical details into clear, actionable business insights.

From discovery through to benefits realisation, you will guide projects ranging from £50k to £1M+, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Meaningful Projects: You won’t just be moving tasks across a board. You will be shaping systems and driving business changes that directly improve outcomes for our customers and their beloved pets.
  • Collaborative & Supportive Environment: You’ll work hand-in-hand with Business Analysts, Technical Teams, Scrum Teams, and Senior Leadership (including our CFO and Head of Pricing). We are a matrix team that succeeds together.
  • Work-Life Balance: We know you do your best work when you feel your best. We are deeply committed to a healthy work-life balance that respects your time, energy, and life outside of the office.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Proven Delivery: A strong track record of successfully delivering technical and business change projects, including managing vendors, third parties, and in-house development.
  • Qualifications & Methodology: A professional PM qualification (Agile, Scrum, PMP, or APM) combined with strong project planning skills and experience managing multiple concurrent deliveries.
  • Master Communicator: The ability to cut through the noise, manage senior stakeholders, and unite business and technical teams under a shared vision.
  • Resilience & Focus: Adept at identifying dependencies, mitigating risks, and navigating complex challenges with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
