Project Manager – Wastewater Industry (Leading Service Provider)

About the Role

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the wastewater industry for an experienced Project Manager to strengthen their team.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage teams and oversee solution development, ensuring multiple projects delivered on time, to quality, water, and safety standards—aligned with legislation, Alliance governance, and processes.
  • Direct project lifecycles, addressing operational challenges with collaborative win-win outcomes.
  • Ensure CDM compliance through TOTEX Delivery Process, audits, and Zero-Harm culture advocacy.
  • Foster a high-performing, creative team environment across roles, including Engineers and Commercial.
  • Translate strategic programs into tangible outcomes, optimising team usage for success.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle—from needs analysis, scoping, construction, handover, and sign-off, including warranty oversight.
  • Collaborate with Commercial & Planning to monitor cost/resource forecasts, escalating challenges to the Integrated Projects Leader.
  • Approve team-driven solutions for safety, commercial viability, and project fit.
  • Drive project completion, ensuring milestones like Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly are met.

Requirements

Successfully advise or demonstrate:

  • Industry experience in wastewater, with expert knowledge of Health & Safety, drinking water standards, and CDM regulations, recognised by an IOSH qualification.
  • Project portfolio management, preferably holding an APMP qualification, with proven stakeholder challenge skills via relationship-building and communication.
  • Familiarity with commercial frameworks, most notably NEC Option C contracts, for agile, business-focused decision-making.
  • Proven leadership of high-performing teams, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on operational guidance.
  • Commitment to team growth through trust, delegation, and collaborative mentorship.
