The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Project Manager to join our Belfast team, where you’ll provide structured, specialist project support to a major industrial organisation. Your role will focus on:

  • Strengthening project execution by delivering additional capacity and expertise where internal teams need operational or technical support.
  • Ensuring smart, scalable delivery of improvement initiatives across a complex project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Execution

  • Support projects from initial definition through to completion, ensuring seamless progress.
  • Apply structured methodologies such as L-BSIP+ (Lean+), Agile, and industry best practices.
  • Provide enabling support where internal teams request additional capacity, specialist skills, or strategic guidance.

Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in project scoping, scheduling, and workflow organisation to optimise delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (artifacts, standards, records) to enable transparency.
  • Track progress across multiple workstreams, identifying bottlenecks and driving momentum.

Stakeholder & Governance Alignment

  • Coordinate actions and deliverables between stakeholders, balancing clearances and decision-making responsibilities.
  • Mandate alignment across portfolio-level projects while respecting governance boundaries.
  • Collaborate with project owners to enforce standards, ensuring consistent project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

Strictly Required

  • Education/Training:
    • Degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s level), or equivalent military experience.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Proven project support experience in a technical, industrial, or complex organisational environment.
    • Strong understanding of LBIP+, Agile frameworks, or equivalent structured delivery methods.
    • Ability to support full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
    • Strong documentation skills, including maintaining project artifacts, standards, and governance tools.
    • Excellent coordination & action-tracking, managing multiple stakeholders and concurrent activities.
    • Clear communication between operational, technical, and management teams.
    • Experience working with project owners while respecting governance/framework boundaries.
    • Skills to ensure adherence to delivery standards and promote consistent project quality.

Strongly Desirable

  • Portfolio-level experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with proven ability to introduce best-practice tools.
  • Experience with iterative delivery, workflow automation, or structured problem-solving.
  • Strong organisation & prioritising skills for managing parallel activities.
  • Ability to engage operational, engineering, and leadership stakeholders across hierarchical levels.
  • Capacity to spot gaps and optimise project processes.
