About The Role

Job Purpose

The Project Manager will lead projects focused on enhancing brewery safety, quality and efficiency, including new equipment installations, productivity improvements, and process optimizations. This role works closely with production, quality, and safety teams to implement safe and sustainable solutions that support brewery goals. This position ensures that all projects align with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and productivity goals.

Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including health and safety requirements on all projects
  • Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards, with a strong focus on hygiene, food safety and beer quality
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of new production equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing equipment and processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to support production targets, enhance quality control, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, safety and quality teams to align on project objectives and required resources.
  • Serve as the primary contact with equipment vendors and contractors, overseeing procurement, installation, and operational testing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that projects align with company objectives and production schedules.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Identify, address, and communicate potential project risks and delays, implementing solutions to mitigate issues.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel and materials, to meet project milestones.
  • Track project expenditures and work to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure smooth project integration ensuring all snagging is completed and sufficient training is delivered

Health & Safety

  • Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
  • Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog
  • Complete online or face to face training as and when required
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work
  • Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

About You

Qualifications & Specific Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering or related field.
  • HNC/HND and or experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Substantial experience of Project Management within a related field
  • Experience with installation of new equipment or equipment upgrades

Knowledge

  • Detailed understanding of project management techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and key health and safety processes such as contractor management and permit to work

Skills

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess project risks and opportunities.
  • Experience managing budgets and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
