Project Manager

Project Manager – Experienced Role

A challenging and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a long-established manufacturer with a global footprint, a growing order book, and diversification into new industries. Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 38.75 hours per week with flexible working hours
  • Holiday: 24 days (rising to 25 days after 12 months’ service)
  • Pension Scheme included
  • Death in Service Benefit (x3 times annual salary)
  • BUPA Medical Scheme (covering immediate family)

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning, monitoring, and managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring delivery of scope, budget, schedule, quality, and benefits in line with company procedures and agreed customer requirements.
  • Overseeing the coordination of all project activities, including:
    • Design & procurement
    • Fabrication & technical assembly
    • Packing, shipping, installation, and commissioning
    • Ensuring successful handover to the customer
  • Controlling project financials, including:
    • Purchasing strategy development
    • Managing contract changes and additional expenditure
  • Leading project review meetings and producing regular monthly reports detailing all aspects of project performance.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities through innovation and best practice.
  • Assessing and communicating technical, commercial, and business risks to the project team and wider business.
  • Finalising projects and preparing project closure reports, sharing key learnings with Engineering and Commercial Teams.

Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • An HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within manufacturing and engineering.
  • A strong track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to performance standards.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
