We are currently seeking to recruit for Project Managers to join us here at Aqua Consultants. This role will be within our Customer Programmes team reporting all day to day duties to the Commission Manager/Head of PMO. The ideal candidate should possess strong project management abilities, demonstrating organisational prowess and diligence. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, alongside proficiency in report writing. Desirable qualifications include APMP/AMP PMQ or equivalent project management certification, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and other specialised software like SAP and CRM systems. Experience in the energy/water industry or wider utilities sector is essential and NEC/4 accreditation and proficiency in Microsoft Project or Gantt chart usage is preferred.
What you'll be doing: Lead the successful delivery of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to scope, time, quality, and cost parameters. Coordinate and manage technical resources to fulfil project objectives and deliver high-quality results. Actively manage project risks and issues, establishing mitigation strategies and escalating as needed. Oversee contract management from signature through to final invoicing, working closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with frameworks and account processes. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed financial parameters; identify and report any cost variances promptly. Ensure projects adhere to the organisation's IMS standards, including conducting audits, maintaining governance, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Facilitate clear, consistent communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring requirements are accurately documented and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Plan, allocate, and monitor project resources (human, financial, and material) to ensure optimal utilisation and project success. Address any resource constraints or conflicts, maintaining a proactive approach to resource management. Establish and track project performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular, comprehensive status reports to clients and management. Produce monthly highlight reports for assigned projects, identifying achievements, challenges, and mitigation strategies. Enhance the organisation's visibility with key clients, generating business development opportunities in collaboration with service leads. Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and junior staff, supporting their development and contributing to a collaborative project management community within the organisation. Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and the sharing of best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and management efficiencies. Engage in continuous professional development and support the organisational community of practice in project management. Integrate sustainable practices into project delivery and resource management, contributing to the organisation’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Utilise digital tools and platforms for streamlined project management, including data analytics for enhanced decision-making and project insights.

Qualifications What you'll bring: Strong project management capabilities with organisational and meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write detailed reports and presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project management software (e.g., SAP, CRM systems). APM or equivalent Project Management qualification. Experience in the Water Industry or wider utilities sector. Desirable: NEC3/4 accreditation or similar project management certification. Proficiency with Gantt charts, digital project dashboards, and reporting tools.
