MUST BE ALREADY BASED in Manchester Or Bolton

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Manager to manage small to medium-sized projects end-to-end while supporting wider programme delivery, governance, reporting, and portfolio management activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager who enjoys combining hands-on project delivery with stakeholder engagement, governance, and reporting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Management

  • Manage projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.
  • Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve delivery milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and issues.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder updates.
  • Maintain project plans, RAID logs, action trackers, and status reports.
  • Support change control processes and impact assessments.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed governance standards and methodologies.

Governance & Reporting

  • Produce weekly and monthly project and portfolio reporting packs.
  • Support Delivery Managers with portfolio tracking and governance activities.
  • Maintain project roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Analyse delivery data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare documentation and reporting for steering committees.
  • Track decisions, actions, dependencies, and programme-level activities.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across all initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and suppliers.
  • Communicate project updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across delivery, operational, and business functions.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing small to medium-sized projects independently
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience maintaining project plans, RAID logs, and governance documentation
  • Comfortable working with delivery data and reporting
  • Experience within change, transformation, IT, operations, or business delivery environments
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies

Desirable

  • PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience of resource planning and financial tracking
  • Exposure to portfolio or programme governance environments

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE, 26 days holiday (+8 bank holidays), private medical cover, income protection to 75% of salary etc.
