Full-time Project Manager
Focus: Buyer Recruitment, Business Development & Trade Mission Outreach
The Taiwan Trade Centre in London is hiring a full-time Project Manager to support trade development between Taiwan and the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets.
This is a proactive, business-facing role focused on buyer recruitment, relationship building and trade mission outreach. The successful candidate will identify and engage potential buyers, maintain relationships with businesses and industry organizations, and encourage qualified buyers to participate in Taiwan trade shows, sourcing events and business meetings.
Location
Office in London, EC2M 2SJ, near Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations.
Key Responsibilities
Buyer recruitment and relationship development
- Plan and execute buyer recruitment strategies for major Taiwan trade shows, including COMPUTEX Taipei, Taipei Cycle, Food Taipei, Energy Taiwan, Fastener Taiwan and other sector-focused events, as well as Taiwan-based sourcing events, procurement activities and trade missions, targeting priority sectors and buyer profiles from the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets.
- Build and manage a structured buyer pipeline, from initial engagement through follow-up to confirmed participation, while maintaining long-term relationships, understanding buyers’ sourcing needs, and connecting them with suitable Taiwanese suppliers, trade shows or opportunities to drive repeat engagement.
Trade promotion project planning and execution
- Plan and execute UK-based trade events, including trade missions, Taiwan pavilions at trade shows, Taiwan Excellence pop-up events and other sector-focused activities, ensuring each event has clear objectives, timelines and measurable outcomes.
- Represent Taiwan Trade Centre London at trade shows and industry events across the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets, identifying new project opportunities and relevant partners to strengthen activity quality and market engagement.

Market intelligence and reporting
- Conduct market research to identify buyer trends, emerging sectors and sourcing opportunities across the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets; compile market reports to help Taiwanese companies better understand these markets and identify potential business opportunities.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK; Bachelor's degree or above.
- Experience or strong interest in business development, buyer recruitment, sales outreach, trade promotion or international business.
- Good understanding of international trade, industry trends and economic market developments.
- Outgoing, proactive and commercially minded, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to think independently, plan effectively and execute work, while managing multiple buyer leads, projects, events and deadlines.
- Proficient in digital and AI-powered tools.
- The first 3 months of employment will be a probationary period.
Preferred / A Plus
- Knowledge of Taiwan’s industries or experience related to Taiwan’s industries or working with Taiwanese companies.
- Mandarin language skills.
- Previous experience in trade promotion, B2B sales, export promotion, event recruitment or industry association engagement.
- Experience working with trade associations, chambers of commerce, business groups or industry networks.
- The ideal candidate would be available to start in the mid August of 2026.
