About The Role
Within BT Business, Design and Delivery Project Managers deliver large and complex telecoms and network projects for medium to large business customers across the UK. You will lead highly visible programmes, engage with senior stakeholders and ensure project governance, reporting standards, and best-practice project management methods are followed.
You will be required to hold SC clearance for this role - this something BT can arrange for you, but please only apply if you meet the eligibility criteria for this - minimum 5 years UK residency and full UK right to work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead delivery of large or complex projects, programmes, or portfolios representing significant benefit and risk.
- Manage risk effectively and adapt project management methods to fit delivery context and governance needs.
- Ensure PMO and resourcing teams have visibility of demand, milestones, and contractual commitments.
- Act as a customer champion, understanding customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Understand customer business environments and translate programme outcomes into business value.
- Collaborate closely with Practice & Hub Managers, Technical teams and the Client Services team to ensure consistent delivery.

Essential skills/experience
- Proven ability to identify and manage risk in a project environment.
- Strong project management capability with technical delivery experience.
- Commercially and financially astute with ability to identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Have worked to a comprehensive governance framework.
- Ability to communicate with technical teams to manage a rapidly changing environment.
Desirable skills/experience
- Telecoms experience (core network, WAN/LAN, cloud voice, contact centre).
- Experience embedding project management standards, tools and governance.
- Existing Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
- Experience in delivering SDWAN projects or solutions.
