Purpose of the Job

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from Early Contractor Involvement and design, through construction delivery and commissioning. This is a fast-paced, complex role requiring strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage interdependent projects while maintaining critical operational outputs.

Stakeholder management is central to this role, and you will engage daily with a wide range of internal and external parties, including senior representatives across multiple organisations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the management of design, construction delivery, and commissioning of enabling infrastructure works (including buildings, roads, services, and security-related elements).
  • Provide professional project management leadership to deliver project objectives safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage Early Contractor Involvement, ensuring continuity into construction delivery.
  • Administer and manage NEC4 contracts, including change control, performance monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budget management, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control.
  • Prepare for and contribute to project assurance and gateway reviews, providing evidence of progress, compliance, and delivery confidence.
  • Review and manage programme schedules, milestones, and key decision points.
  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities.
  • Manage configuration control, ensuring approved changes are reflected in plans, programmes, and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal processes, operating procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Close contracts upon completion, ensuring all commercial, financial, and maintenance obligations are met.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative project team culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
