Role Overview
With recent growth across our Project Management and Project Control functions, we have an opportunity for an individual to join our team where you will grow your skills and develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity
With recent growth across our Project Management and Project Control functions, we have an opportunity for an individual to join our team where you will grow your skills and develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is based within the manufacturing domain, ensuring that our products are built to schedule, cost, and scope. The role is a hybrid Project Management and Control role where the successful individual will support the Project Manager and Project Control Lead across a number of work packages and contracts.
You will be working on:
- Promoting good project management practices and processes across the Manufacturing community
- Effective Stakeholder Management – interfacing with a range of Stakeholders from various functions
- Risk and Opportunity Management – proactively manage R&Os whilst identifying spend to save opportunities
- Validation of Cost Control methods - Comparing actuals and forecasts to identify variances to budget, and support mitigation or corrective action
- Schedule Assessment – assess schedules/forecasts across a variety of business disciplines.
- Integrated Baseline Management – successfully supporting on time and on cost delivery in accordance to planning principles and governance
- Project Reporting – creating material and delivering its presentation to a range of stakeholders
- Continuous improvement – proactively embracing change and proposing better ways of working

What We're Looking For
- Project Management or Project Control experience is desirable
- Open to change and comfortable with ambiguity
- Understanding of cost and resource loaded schedules
- Proficient with schedule and cost data, able to critically analyse and make informed recommendations
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands
- Strong communication skills with the skills to create and present complex datasets and topics
- A hands-on approach with the willingness to give support to the Project Manager and manage smaller tasks self-sufficiently
