Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical)

Permanent Role – North East England – Remuneration dependent on experience

Opportunity

The opportunity offers the chance to join a leading UK engineering contractor delivering complex mechanical and electrical packages on a landmark energy infrastructure project in the North East.

Working as part of a highly skilled project delivery team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of technically challenging engineering works, managing project performance across safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of engineering packages from design through to completion, working closely with Project Engineers, Site Teams, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Managing project programmes
  • Coordinating resources
  • Overseeing technical delivery
  • Managing risks
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards

Your background

To excel in this role, you should have proven Project Management experience within a Mechanical OR Electrical engineering environment and a strong understanding of complex project delivery.

We are keen to speak with candidates from:

  • Mechanical Building Services backgrounds
  • Electrical Building Services backgrounds
  • MEP Contracting environments
  • Industrial, Energy, Power, or Process Engineering sectors
  • Main Contracting / Engineering Delivery backgrounds

This opportunity would suit experienced Project Managers with a track record of delivering complex engineering packages within technically challenging environments.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside experience managing subcontractors, project teams, and engineering delivery activities. Experience working on regulated or critical infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
