Senior Project Manager – Aerospace & Defence - Cheltenham UK

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing Programme Management team within the Aerospace and Defence Sector.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of complex engineering projects, managing scope, schedule, budgets, risks, customer relationships, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects through the full lifecycle from bid stage to completion.
  • Manage project plans, budgets, risks, resources, and contractual milestones.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead change management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide leadership and support to Project Managers and junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ project management experience within an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or similar environment.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and quality processes.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • PMQ/APM qualification (or willingness to achieve).
