Marshdale Construction Ltd is a flexible construction and M&E solution provider serving the rail, aviation, correctional (HMP, MOJ), education, and healthcare sectors across the United Kingdom. The company delivers a wide range of services, from reactive and preventative maintenance to full design-and-build construction projects, including civil engineering, mechanical and electrical, platform, and route works. Marshdale Construction also completes safety-critical works on Network Rail managed infrastructure and supports Principal Contractors and Train Operating Companies with complex projects such as NSIP Works, Access for All, CP6 funded, and Minor Works. The organization has grown substantially through honest, long-term client relationships and its strong in-house capability to manage diverse and technically demanding projects.
Role Description
To manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standard. The Project Manager is responsible for client satisfaction, commercial performance, programme management, statutory compliance, and effective leadership of site teams and subcontractors.

Project Delivery
- Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Produce and maintain project programmes.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Manage project risks and mitigation measures.
- Chair project meetings and record actions.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Executive requirements and company policies.
- Review RAMS before work commences.
- Ensure suitable supervision is in place.
- Report accidents and near misses.
- Undertake site inspections and audits.
Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Attend client meetings.
- Provide regular progress reports.
- Manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Commercial Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs.
- Identify variations and additional works.
- Assist with valuations.
- Support the commercial team with cost reporting.
Quality
- Ensure works comply with specifications.
- Manage snagging.
- Ensure completion documentation is produced.
- Obtain practical completion sign-off.
Programme Management
- Coordinate subcontractors.
- Manage procurement schedules.
- Monitor project milestones.
- Resolve delays proactively.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within the industry
- Excellent client communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- CSCS Manager Card.
