Company Description

Skycutter is a UK-based advanced small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) designer and manufacturer serving both commercial and defense markets. The company combines hydrogen fuel cells and high-energy density battery technologies with ultra-efficient propulsion systems to deliver multi-rotor flight times exceeding three hours. Skycutter integrates specialist equipment and payloads, including LiDAR, bathymetric sensors, GPR, cameras, and customized delivery systems tailored to client needs. The multidisciplinary team of aircraft design engineers, fuel cell specialists, electrical and software engineers, and test pilots focuses on maximizing safety and usability. Skycutter enables customers to deploy UAVs effectively to provide reliable, high-quality services.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Loughborough. The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project delivery for advanced sUAS solutions, coordinating timelines, resources, and budgets across engineering, testing, and client-facing activities.

  • Maintaining project schedules

  • Managing risks and issues to keep projects on track

The role involves liaising with internal technical teams and external suppliers, ensuring timely procurement, inspection, and logistics of components and payloads. The Project Manager will prepare status reports, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and support continuous improvement of project processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, coordination, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
  • Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to drive on-time delivery of materials and services across the supply chain.
  • Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify components, equipment, and project outputs against specifications and quality standards.
  • Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to oversee shipping, inventory, and on-time availability of parts and payloads.
  • Relevant experience in aerospace, UAVs, or complex engineering projects is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams are essential.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
