Project Manager

6 Month Contract
Manchester Based - twice per week in the office
Up to £550 per day Outside IR35 MAX

Job Requirements:

  • Manage the day-to-day performance and delivery of design consultants, ensuring design activities are completed to programme, quality, and budget requirements
  • Oversee the development and delivery of outline and detailed design, ensuring key project milestones, planning submissions, and approvals are achieved
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including preparing tender documentation and supporting contract award and mobilisation of design services
  • Monitor project performance through programme, commercial, risk, and governance management, providing regular progress reporting

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design consultants on complex infrastructure or construction, rail, highways or active travel infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects through outline and detailed design phases, including planning submissions and technical approval
  • Experience managing project programmes, budgets, risks, and commercial performance to achieve successful project outcome
  • Experience coordinating procurement activities, including the preparation of tender documentation and contract mobilisation
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams, consultants, contractors, and external organisations
