Project Manager
Project Manager – Repairs and Maintenance Transformation
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum Benefits: Health Cash Plan + generous other benefits
Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Contract Terms: Hybrid (office days + remote)
About the Role
Home Group is offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in strategic change management, specialising within our Repairs and Maintenance Transformation team. As Project Manager, you’ll drive systemic improvements, technology upgrades, and operational excellence—while supporting a culture of stakeholder engagement, adaptability, and measurable success.
This dynamic programme requires strong leadership, technical know-how, and a passion for transforming services that directly benefit our customers.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead business change initiatives across multiple departments using Project@Home framework.
- Plan and deliver system implementations and installation projects while align with organisational priorities.
- Mentor a small cross-functional team, owned responsibility for design, development, and testing of repair/service system enhancements.
Project Execution
- Manage projects using both agile (Scrum) and waterfall methodologies, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Utilise Smartsheet for planning, risk tracking, reporting, and process automation.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain confidence with senior leaders and colleagues through transparent communication.
- Advocate for end-user needs, ensuring change aligns with customer-focused benefits.
What We’re Looking For
Core Requirements
- Qualified Project Management Professional with either:
- PRINCE2 certification, or
- APM PMQ qualification.
- Proven expertise in leveraging agile and waterfall frameworks (Preferred: experience in mixed-methodology environments).
- Proven track record managing projects within maintenance or system upgrades, with a focus on deadline attainment and technical resource efficiency.
- Strong experience with risk assessment, cost controls, and resource management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills—able to negotiate effectively, communicate complex changes clearly, and create buy-in.
- Results-oriented mindset with a strongacial health in process optimisation.
Desired Profile
- Formal qualification in construction, engineering, technology, or related fields (advantageous but not essential).
- Theft-free change/transformation experience (beside repairs and maintenance).
- Familiarity with digital transformation agendas and keep-execution (e.g. automated tracking, CRM integration).
