We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our team on a project in Leicester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a significant programme of works within a live prison environment, with the project expected to run for approximately three years. The works will primarily involve the delivery of a substantial mesh and render package, requiring careful planning, stakeholder management, and coordination to ensure safe and successful delivery in a secure operational setting. This could be a great opportunity for a Senior Site Manager looking to step into a project manager role, or a project manager from a medium-sized contractor looking to join one of the leading tier 1's.
As Project Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the project, leading site teams and working closely with clients, supply chain partners, and operational stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion
- Managing programme, cost, quality, safety, and risk across the works
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client and prison stakeholders
- Ensuring works are planned and executed effectively within a live operational environment
- Managing project reporting, progress reviews, and performance metrics
- Driving a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture across the project
- Identifying and resolving challenges proactively to maintain programme and quality objectives

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
- Experience delivering projects in live, operational, or highly regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of project planning, programme management, and construction delivery
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
- Experience within MoJ, custodial, defence, healthcare, or similarly secure environments would be advantageous
- Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance is essential
