Project Manager β Structural Steelwork
π° Compensation: Competitive Salary + Benefits Package

π Why This Role Matters
This role is central to the successful delivery of structural steelwork projects from contract award through to fabrication, site erection, and final handover. The successful Project Manager will take ownership of multiple steelwork projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
You will act as the key link between clients, engineers, fabrication teams, detailers, and site installation teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient project execution across all stages of delivery.
π― Key Responsibilities
- Manage structural steelwork projects from award through to completion and handover
- Coordinate internal teams including detailing, fabrication, procurement, and site installation
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, engineers, and consultants throughout project lifecycle
- Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved
- Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and specialist services
- Monitor project budgets, costs, variations, and commercial performance
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Chair project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders
- Manage site activities, including erection sequencing and subcontractor coordination
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Identify risks, delays, and commercial opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required
- Manage change control, variations, and contractual correspondence
- Support final account agreement and project close-out documentation
- Maintain strong working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders

β Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Project Manager within structural steelwork or steel fabrication
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management understanding
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and planning ability
- Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors, and fabrication schedules
- Good knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
