Project Manager

Experienced Project Manager – Wastewater CCTV Survey Team

(Major UK Utilities Framework)

About the Role We’re searching for an experienced Project Manager to lead our wastewater CCTV survey team within a leading UK utilities framework. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a sharp analytical approach, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end survey projects from planning to completion for wastewater networks
  • Lead and mentor office and field teams, ensuring strong collaboration
  • Oversee daily delivery of sewer and drainage network projects
  • Mitigate risks and enforce safe working practices in confined/high-risk environments (utilities, highways, etc.)
  • Drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement across operational workflows
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders (regulators, clients, contractors)
  • Travel flexible between Irlam and Clevedon as required

Essential Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (ideally in utilities, water/wastewater, or construction)
  • Hands-on experience in wastewater/drainage operations or high-risk environments (confined space entry, terrain risk assessments, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels—from technical teams to senior management
  • Analytical mindset to interpret performance data and drive process improvements
  • ** Passion for operational work** and attention to detail in complex sewer networks
  • Proficiency in work management systems (leading utility/field teams tools e.g., Teams, GIS, or project software)
  • Full UK driving licence (for site visits and travel)


Desirable

✔ Qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2®, APM, or relevant accreditation) ✔ Health & safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely) ✔ Degree-related to civil/environmental engineering, project management, or operations (no strict requirement, but a plus)
