Project Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) About the Role
This is your chance to make a big impact, leading our strategic change initiatives that support the delivery of Home Group’s organisational priorities.
As a Project Manager in our Repairs and Maintenance Transformation team, you’ll play a key role in:
- Delivering system and operational improvements
- Managing DLO and contractor mobilisations
- Line managing a small team responsible for the design and testing of technical project changes related to Maintenance service delivery
- Focusing on building strong relationships, managing expectations, full stakeholder engagement, and driving change that benefits our customers
What You’ll Do
- Lead business change across multiple departments using the Project@Home framework, ensuring enhancements to our Repairs and Maintenance services
- Manage projects using both waterfall and Agile SCRUM methods, ensuring timely and successful delivery, while collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope and key deliverables, and maintaining strong relationships to meet expectations
- Utilise Smartsheet for project planning, tracking, automating, and real-time reporting
- Ensure agile delivery in our Repairs and Maintenance team, defining processes and products effectively

What You’ll Bring
Must-Have:
- A PRINCE 2 or APM PMQ certification, with strong experience applying agile and waterfall methodologies
- Experience in project planning and resource management, including project controls and risk management
- Change management specialist with a focus on delivering customer benefits
- Experience in delivering system implementation projects and managing technical resources to meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to achieve win-win outcomes
- Ability to influence and think innovatively, finding efficient ways to improve processes
- Strong ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, quickly gaining trust with colleagues and leaders
Bonus:
- Experience in home improvement/repairs sector
- Knowledge of IT-related projects might be an asset

The Practical Bits
- Working Pattern: Flexible hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid Role: Part of your time will be office-based (Newcastle upon Tyne) and the rest from home
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required
