Project Manager – Banking
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 Months (Extension Possible)
Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Banking and Financial Services to lead the delivery of strategic technology and business change initiatives. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing complex projects across cross-functional teams, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and governance documentation.
- Manage project scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership and steering committees.
- Ensure projects comply with banking governance, regulatory, and risk management standards.
- Coordinate testing, business readiness, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
- Support change management and business adoption activities.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Project Management experience.
- Proven experience delivering projects within Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Experience managing technology, digital transformation, regulatory, or operational change projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, risks, issues, and governance.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

- Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, or Wealth Management experience.
- Experience delivering regulatory change programmes.
- Knowledge of cloud transformation, data migration, payments, or core banking initiatives.
- Experience working within large global banking organisations.
- PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications.
