Project Manager (Sizewell C)

An exciting opportunity to join us on the new Sizewell C Project helping us to provide efficient operation and maintenance of SZC Generation Company's water management zones, boreholes and associated pumps and generators, surface water pipework, oil interceptors, fat traps and foul water network. Undertake daily environmental and water quality sampling from the water management zones and boreholes.
In this role you will provide project management for the operational leadership for Turnbull's integrated waste/ water management operations, encompassing treatment, dewatering, and associated assets (waste, groundwater and surface water).
To deliver Client requested projects delivering utilities services, ensuring the safe and efficient running of assets such as:
- Surface and foul water treatment plants
- Foul and surface water drainage systems
- Potable water storage facilities
- Potable water networks (inc. hydrants)
- Ground water abstraction systems
To support the full lifecycle of projects from feasibility to construction and operational phases while promoting strong safety, environmental, and quality standards. To support with new tenders and opportunities.
To ensure the safe operation of the maintenance areas and ensure the safety of other employees and visitors.
Support the delivery of 100% environmental permit compliance, within contractual budgetary controls, and adherence to set KPI's.
Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and sustainability across all operational areas.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement site-wide projects using industry best practice to achieve high quality in all areas, minimise waste, and enhance sustainability and efficiency
- Foster a strong safety culture, promoting awareness and reducing accidents/incidents to protect the workforce and the company
- Work with the client to understand their changing business needs, placing appropriate resources to
- Working with the Turnbull administration teams to put the appropriate systems in place to manage the contract in a service focused and profitable
- Maximise team productivity and demonstrate value to the client through efficient resource utilisation
- Promote and implement operational efficiencies in projects to deliver cost savings to the client where applicable
- Ensure effective liaison with SZC stakeholders - Site Operations, Environmental, Security, Construction Delivery Leads, Site Engineers, promoting a consistent approach, technical advice, and swift resolution of any identified problems
- Provide technical advice and justification for capital projects to ensure reliable and safe operation of assets within regulatory conditions
- Ensure compliance with H&S standards, quality requirements, and cost effectiveness
- Manage interfaces with other departments, building relationships and ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Ensure the SZC contract management plans are implemented and identify areas for savings.

What you'll need
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Management Engineering or similar construction‑related discipline.
- Management/leadership experience in utilities or similar construction service environments
- Level 5 Leadership or Management Diploma
- Experience in the commercial sector
- Operational and engineering experience
- Performance management skills
- Strong, interpersonal, change management, communication, team and motivational skills
- Good process knowledge in water and wastewater treatment
- Proficiency with: MS Project, AutoCAD, Office Suite, Outlook, GIS, Asset Management Systems, Field Reporting Apps, SharePoint.
- Excellent report writing skills

- CSCS card
- NEC3/NEC4 contract awareness
- Customer service, conflict resolution, negotiation or leadership training
